In Colombia, the Catholic faith has strong cultural roots from the Spanish conquest, it is not unusual to see how the major parties and congregations are held in honor to saints


and religious figures.


Bogota as most Colombian cities and towns are developed around churches and squares. So according to tradition the chapel of La Candelaria is located in the Plaza del Chorro de Quevedo was the first church built and from there it spread to the population, however, during the conquest of the cultural and political center moved to the Place de la Calle Real today Plaza de Bolivar on Carrera 7 , where the Cathedral is formed in one of the churches represented in the city, is one of the most visited and admired not only for its history and architecture but because it made the main event the Catholic Church in Colombia.
